colour shared note card sets evolved from a response to single use & inquiry into how to extend the use of ‘quality made’ & much loved greeting cards.  In the quest to create ‘longer lasting value', designs pivoted from the manufactured, to a fully handcrafted product.  

What guides the ‘maker’ is the fulfillment of studio practice, for design & make that has purpose and intention. Tools lay ready for measure, patterns direct the cut & fold, & a colour library informs with a visual layering of our local archipelagic, from ocean, land & forest. 

With a nod to slow design & the art of Japanese aesthetic & craft execution, every detail is considered in the marrying of premium material, simplicity & the pared back minimal.  Only the necessary gets ‘designed in’ & waste is ‘designed out’ by eliminating the superfluous.  As one of a kind creations, subtle variations in measure or fold add a hidden charm . . . a defining attribute of the handcrafted process.
